Erica Scott: Life, Love and Spanking

Ruminations, opinionated observations, darkly humorous blathering and the occasional rant from an outspoken spanko and unapologetic attention wh–, um, hog.

Blogger can kiss my ass!

And welcome to my new WordPress home. I am still trying to familiarize myself with this site; it’s certainly a different setup from Blogger and some things haven’t been exactly intuitive. I still can’t figure out how to embed links, so I’ll paste Lisa’s link like this (you can copy and paste it):  She’s the woman who did the transfer for me; she’s great! But I’ll be checking out the tutorials and help sections and so forth, and I’m sure I’ll figure it all out in time.

Meanwhile, glad to see y’all here! Please update your blog rolls with this new address, and look for some fun stuff soon!

Just for a taste (and to show that I figured out how to insert pictures), here’s a shot from Steve’s visit today. 😀

  1. I went over to the kinky-blogging version of WordPress sometime in 2013, the first time that Blogger started disappearing our blogs. I didn’t want to take the chance that all my posts would just not be there one day, so I put them where they’d be safe. My Blogger site is still there, but if they make it private I won’t worry about it. Hell, I was so under the radar I don’t even have the adult warning on mine, and nobody has said anything. LOL

  2. Hi Erica,

It looks like your move was very successful. Even the comments came over. I’m impressed.

I have a WordPress blog stub, created so I can use my WordPress account to comment on WP blogs. I might consider moving too, although WP might institute the same action on their blogs someday.

  3. Haha, sorry, I didn’t mean to comment on your welcome picture/post. It’ll take some time getting used to this user interface. You can delete if you want because I’ll paste it here.

I spent some time browsing the themes of WordPress yesterday. I’m just not sure how easy it is to change things like that once I get started. I may try to use the export/import tools myself first…but I definitely want to try to keep the comments intact. Anyway, glad you got the transition out of the way before your trip! One less thing to stress over. 🙂

    • Hermione — yeah, I figure they will. This is probably a stopgap, but at least it cost me almost nothing and was a minimum of hassle. Didn’t she do a great job?

Jay — ha! No worries. Yeah, I’m glad to have gotten it over with.

  4. So here you are. well done with the move.

  5. Wish I had read this email sooner. i think this might be the path of least problems, and ultimate success, that is until wordpress sees how much data they have to now store on servers.
and yes, i would be pleased to kiss your ass. (one kiss per cheek, either with my lips of a bath brush, hmmm, maybe both\bottoms up

  6. I am getting very concerned about how our “free country” is becoming more repressed. As long as there are disclaimers mentioning “adult content” I see no reason for any protests of yours and other people’s blogs.

  7. At least you´re still there! Your own upgraded self. Hurray!

  8. Hi Erica — I like your new set up on here 🙂 Your pic is so cute.Much Love and hugs from naughty girl Jade/ Emily Jean

  9. Hi Erica,
Yes, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve commented on anything. Just wanted to say good luck with the move, So far so good I guess. It does suck what Blogger is doing. For me since my blog (Tech-Info and Rants) is more on the “Tech” side I hopefully will not experience any problems. Anyway, “Good Luck Again”.

  10. Milt — actually, after I made the move, Blogger changed their mind! Ugh. But I decided to stay here regardless. I don’t trust them at all.

Come on, you know you want to say something.
