So…
… where the hell is my post-party report?
It’s late, but I promise, it’s coming.
I did have a great time, never fear. Lots to share. However, when I came home, I was slammed with work. And it was slow going, because I was distracted every other second with texts and emails and pictures and all the post-party stuff. I really should have taken a couple of more days off, just to decompress, unwind, catch up with everything. But work was busy and I wanted to do the responsible thing.
Then yesterday, I felt weird. Ached all over. I had taken a COVID test, but it was negative. But by the time I went to bed last night, I knew something was up. Sure enough, I tested positive this morning.
Well, shoot. How much does that suck.
Looks like I’m staying home this weekend. No John. 😦 But I suppose, putting a positive spin on it, I’ll be able to finally catch up with things. Get a handle on work. And actually write the damn report before I forget everything.
So far, this just feels like a flu — aches, fever, a cough. I have a phone consultation scheduled with a doc this afternoon. Meanwhile, the Advil/Tylenol combo knocked the fever down from 101.3 to 99.5, so I’m feeling pretty functional.
Stay tuned.
Oh, and do I regret going to the party? Not for a second. I took a chance, and now I’m paying for it, but it was 100% worth it. It was time to live again. This too shall pass.
Oh, no! I hope you recover soon. Hopefully, the doc gave you an Rx for Paxlovid. And another for rest.
No rush on the trip report. We are happy to wait for a healthy you!
Socially distanced and masked virtual hugs,
Bonnie

Bonnie — actually, I passed on the Paxlovid for now. He says I have until Monday to change my mind. He said I am low risk because I have low BMI and no comorbidities (diabetes, heart disease, etc., etc.), and he mentioned side effects, particularly GI distress. That’s the last thing I need! Plus, I’d have to go to the lab and take a pee test first, then to the pharmacy… ugh. I’m just going to relax and drink water and take Advil.
Michael — thank you, I hope so too.
bklynny — oh, I know. I just don’t want to forget details, y’know?

Please reconsider the Paxlovid. Long COVID is life altering.

Aww, I’m sorry the ‘vid got you. That’s why we still wear masks and stay away from all gatherings and restaurants. The beast is still lurking and nothing to fool around with.
Please do rest, and tell us ll about the party when you feel up to it.
Hugs,
Hermione

Damn. Sorry to hear you caught Covid Erica. May it pass quickly for you, and be as irrelevant to you as it was for me, when I caught it back in December last year.
Good to hear that you had a good time at the party 🙂 Take you time with the report. Your readers can wait. The memories are yours. And I agree with you. Covid lurking about or not, we can’t keep locking ourselves away from the world.

Wishing you a return to good health soon, Erica. Attend to your work life as best you can between periods of rest, and get to your post-party report when you can. Of course we’re all curious about the party, but you need to take care of you first. You’re a tough lady (with that bionic butt), and I’m confident that you’ll kick COVID’s mangy ass!

Hermione — yup, it’s still very much here. But I have no regrets. I took my chances, we were all vaxxed, and I’m like, oh well. Just very glad that John didn’t go. Lots of rest is the order of the weekend.
Kyrel — I am hoping it will be a minor blip, as it’s been for so many of my vaxxed friends. We’ll see. So far, it’s no worse than any flu I’ve had. I’m up and about and functioning.
Bob — thank you. Perhaps this weekend. I’m certainly not going anywhere for a while.

Question . Might be worth a post ? Just how many spankings has that lovely bottom endured. And which were your 5 most memorable ?
